Our Analyst Leads perform a wide variety of duties but this position will focus on building and maturing our data querying, analysis, and reporting skills and services. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical skills with leadership ability, initiative, and a contagious enthusiasm for the power of data.
This position will support services and applications from all technology domains used by the Customer Services Department and others across the organization. This includes Customer Information Systems; Customer Contact Solutions; Payment Processing; Bill Creation, Printing, & Delivery; and Meter Data Management.
Key Areas of Focus:
Leading advanced data analyses efforts for large, complex department, division and enterprise projects
Analyzing business and user needs
Identifying data sources, searching through large data sets for usable information, and querying data
Processing and cleaning data
Building tools to automate data collection
Building data models and machine-learning algorithms
Analyzing large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns; correlating similar data to find actionable results
Presenting information using data visualization techniques
Crafting reports and presentations for business use
Who you are… highly qualified candidates will bring 4 or more years of experience extracting and analyzing data to produce actionable business intelligence in a relevant technology-oriented field, demonstrate solid understanding and skill with SQL, Excel, Power BI, quantitative research and analysis, and technical communication. Programming skills, especially in VBA, PL/SQL, Python, and R, are desirable. A bachelor’s or higher degree in a technical subject is preferred.
Additionally, interested in candidates with skills and experience in the following areas and technologies:
Business Intelligence and Data Analysis tools including Oracle Utility Analytics, Microsoft Power BI, Oracle Dataraker, InfoMart, and Excel
Database query languages and tools including SQL and Oracle SQL Developer
Statistics, quantitative analysis, and modelling
Data extraction, cleansing, and transformation
Technical communication tools and skills including written, verbal, and data visualization
Oracle Utilities technology, including Customer Care & Billing (CCB) and Meter Data Management (MDM)
Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
Utilities domain knowledge, especially multi-service
Software Development Lifecycle including requirements, design, testing, and deployment
Information Technology support, especially ITIL processes
