Barings’ Client and Product Management Team is seeking a Client Portfolio Manager (Analyst) to support Barings’ Private Equity and Real Assets team. This position will be located in Charlotte, North Carolina and will report to the Head Client Portfolio Manager for the Private Equity and Real Assets team also located in Charlotte.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Become a subject matter expert across Barings’ Private Equity and Real Assets platform
  • Communicate investment strategies internally and externally with the goal of retaining and growing assets under management
  • Create and update marketing materials including fact sheets and pitch books
  • Support and create materials for ad-hoc updates on all aspects of the asset class including strategy, process, positioning, performance, markets, etc.
  • Develop and foster a network of successful working relationships across internal stakeholders, specifically Investment and Distribution
  • Respond in a timely manner to client and prospect requests
  • Attend and participate in investment team meetings
  • Collaborate with the various teams internally to respond to requests for market and performance data, DDQs, and/or presentation materials in a timely manner

Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Relevant industry experience ideally within investment management and private assets
  • Ability to establish priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet time-sensitive deadlines
  • Willingness to complete the CFA designation is preferred
  • Ability to analyze, strong attention to detail, willingness to learn and show intellectual curiosity
  • Strong proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel required, including experience using MS Office software to produce high quality presentations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, facilitation and collaboration skills
