We are a district that serves over 6,000 students and employs 725 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students, three elementary schools for grades 1-4, two middle schools for grades 5-8, and one high school for grades 9-12.


Job Summary:

Develop, promote, implement, supervise and evaluate youth and adult programs and acitivities.


Position Overview & Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate all aspects of the programs
  • Recruit, select, direct, supervise, train and evaluate staff
  • Manage registrations for the program and travel in district to supervise instructors at district schools
  • Establish community partnerships and maintain effective relationships with school personnel
  • Market youth activities including production of brochures and flyers
  • develop, review and update procedures, handbooks, policies related to the programs
  • purchase supplies and equipment and keep store room organized
  • attend CE Advisory Committee meetings and participate in committees and organizations throughout the community that focus on youth and adult enrichment
  • enforce CE and other district policies and procedures
  • attend meetings, workshops and training sessions as directed by the Director
  • perform other duties as assigned

Contract: 260 days
Department: Community Education and Services


Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Community Education, recreation, education or a related field.
