Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in social services or a related field or equivalent experience; has personal experience as a young adult or youth in transition with SED with experience navigating the child and/or adult mental health system through the transitional years is preferred. Experience in the field of organization management and/or clinical experience with identified age group preferred, and/or supervisory experience.
Skills & Knowledge Required:
- Knowledge of the service area and of resources for youth.
- Knowledge of the developmental, mental, emotional, relational, and social needs of children.
- Ability to effectively communicate to various internal and external audiences both in person, and through various electronic media.
- Ability to conduct presentations in front of large audiences.
- Desire to help and support parents of youth, with strong customer service skills.
- Commitment to system of care principles, cultural competency & effective teamwork.
- Ability to travel locally and out of state.
- Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving/creative thinking skills.
Duties & Responsibilities/Principal Activities:
- Work closely with the Project Director, Clinical Director, and State Transition Team to accomplish grant goals and objectives.
- Provides direct supervision of the HT Young Adult Peer Support Stabilizer and HT Social Marketing Specialist.
- Provides direct supervision of the SCOAT-N Young Engagement Specialists’ and SOCAT-N Social Marketing Coordinator.
- Provide direct supervision of the SOCAT Family Support Specialists and Care Coordinators as assigned
- Ensure youth and families/natural supports, where appropriate, are engaged in all aspects of the grant, including service delivery, planning, evaluation, and outreach efforts.
- Responsible for ensuring all phases of program implementation are done to high quality and fidelity.
- Support the mission and vision of both the TN-HTI and SCOAT-N as an extension of the system of care values and philosophy of family-driven and youth-guided under the Office of Statewide Systems of Care.
- Provide support and guidance to HT-ILT partners and local Youth M.O.V.E. Councils.
- Participate in training programs, task forces and committees at a local, state and/or national level that will enhance the provision of implementation of TN-HTI for transition age youth.
- Monitor and manage youth engagement budget, as necessary.
- Provide support to state Youth M.O.V.E. Councils representing TNV as the Statewide Youth M.O.V.E. Chapter.
- Actively advocate for best practice and system of care principles for children and families in a variety of settings (i.e. mental health planning councils, coalitions, court, and school meetings).
- Encourage and support the coordination of services for children with SED and their families.
- Ensures that all data and reports are properly managed and documented.
- Ensure that TNV conforms to CARF standards applicable to the services provided.
- Maintain and build trusted relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Projects a positive image of the organization to employees, customers, industry, and community.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- This position requires a valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance.
