Amplified Digital is seeking a Web Strategist to join our integrated team of web, social, and digital marketing professionals. In this role, you will collaborate with account managers, media planners, project managers, designers, writers, and developers to create website experiences that balance brand storytelling with user functionality, building a successful foundation and presence for our clients online.
The Web Strategist’s primary responsibility will be to gather client website and app development project goals, and review, coordinate, develop and propose solutions to meet their needs – translating business and user needs and technology constraints into solutions that are meaningful, easy to use, profitable, and engaging.
Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborate with other professionals (web developers, managers, strategists, project managers, account managers, and other subject matter experts) to complete a well-developed website development or rebuild strategy for our client base
- Work with account managers and clients to gather technical requirements, identify client goals, business needs, and areas of focus or improvement
- Identify opportunities, trends, and behaviors indicated in analytics and data sets
- Provide insight and expertise on how to improve client’s consumer experiences online, utilizing the specific industry and website & SEO best practices
- Collaborate with other professionals (web developers, team managers, media planners, project managers and other subject matter experts) to build (and occasionally present) analytic analysis reports, technical plans, and client project website and app proposals
- Ensure project proposals are well written, meet budgetary guidelines and timelines, and are as accurate as possible
- Create consumer journey maps and navigational blueprints to meaningfully address client business challenges and drive leads and engagement
- Collaborate with media planning and client retention teams to ensure project plans work cohesively to maximize the value of their engagement with us and succeed online
- Work with our designers, developers, digital marketers, and project managers to ensure clear project handoff and implementation
- Communicate frequently with internal teams to ensure all aspects of the custom website/app scope and quoting experience operate smoothly
- Be a vocal advocate to help refine and improve service offerings and operations, and act as an expert in product and industry trends, best practices – elevating these with Leadership, as well as internal and external stakeholders
- Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3+ years of professional experience (digital agency experience preferred)
- Passion for and expertise in web technologies and digital marketing
- Availability to work full time in an ever evolving industry
- Ability to properly manage time, stay organized, multitask and work in a fast paced environment
- Strength in both collaborating in a team environment or working independently
- Excellent critical thinking, problem resolution and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and communication skills for presentations, consultations, teamwork, and client management
Bonus Skills:
- Experience at a digital agency (Web/App Development, Creative or Marketing agency)
- Familiarity with WordPress or other content management systems
- Experience with project management tools such as Basecamp, Clickup, SmartSheets, Trello, and CRMs
- Expertise in SEO, content architecture and/or content’s impact on a website
- Understanding of user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design and best practices
- Experience with digital marketing solutions (PPC advertising, SEO, etc.)
