Your Role:
As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for supervising salary and hourly personnel in storing and shipping. In this role your responsibilities will include handling, storing, loading of ware, and intra-plant transporting.
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage, train, evaluate and develop Shipping/Receiving and Warehouse staff.
- Maintain a high safety standard and ensure compliance for all areas of responsibility.
- Maintain 5S for all areas of responsibility.
- Manage all movement, storage and distribution of materials and product.
- Manage the daily operations of the warehouse to ensure that receiving of all materials and shipment of all finished goods are timely and accurate.
- Coordinate and manage logistics for safe and efficient storage and distribution of finished goods.
- Direct movement of finished goods to the warehouse.
- Direct the movement of all materials between buildings.
- Participate in daily production meetings and provide appropriate input on status of all relevant Shipping/Receiving activity.
- Work closely with management team to support customer needs.
- Work with Production and Warehouse teams to ensure that all materials and product are available and correct lot codes are delivered to the production areas.
- Arrange warehouse areas for effective space utilization and lot traceability.
- Act as a change agent in leading and supporting the department to improve operating efficiencies.
- Work with Inventory Department for all inventory maintenance, cycle count activities, and monthly review of on hand inventory/aged inventory.
- Responsible to ensure the completion of Weekly Warehouse Audit.
- Manage and enforce the accurate and timely completion of all required paperwork and documentation for all Shipping/Receiving and Warehouse activities.
- Interact with management and all departments to ensure high levels of Customer Service.
- Ensure adequate personnel are available to support the needs for all Shipping/Receiving, Warehouse and Forklift demand.
- Responsible for the direction and assignments of all Forklift Operators facility wide.
- Lead/Participate in all Physical Inventories.
- Maintain 100% On Time Delivery to all customers as per KPI’s.
- All duties as assigned by management
- Analyzes operations and makes recommendations to supervisor relative to changes in organization, personnel, equipment, department policies and procedures.
- Conducts periodic inspections of all department equipment and systems including carrier trailers, etc.
- Responsible for department’s preventative maintenance program.
- Checks bays to determine if ware is being properly stacked and observes ware handling and loading procedure to minimize carton and glass damage.
- Responsible for inventory of all departmental parts, supplies, equipment, and materials.
- Develops performance measurements for subordinates and holds them responsible for achieving goals.
Reporting Relationships:
In this position, you will report to the Plant Materials Manager.
