Job Purpose

The purpose of the role of the Logistic Supervisor is to supervise highly transactional or repetitive processes with deadlines. The Logistic Supervisor will be responsible for managing order entries, shipping documents, transportation coordination and freight costs reconciliation.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversees the processing of customer and account PO information by reviewing the information for discrepancies and following routing guides.
• Scheduling: arrange container schedule pickup
• Oversees the maintenance of data entry information in file.
• Verify information entered for accuracy by reviewing, editing and eliminating duplicate data
• Supervises the maintenance of Bill of Lading records, processing of shipping papers, and processing of small packaging via UPS World-Ship & FedEx Ground
• Regularly reviews the latest routing guides for specific requirements
• Have thorough understanding of staffs’ responsibilities under supervision
• Develops or improves processes and procedures with the approval of the manager reporting to
• Prioritizes in overseeing daily shipments and allocate workload assignments
• Reporting of performance of distribution OTIF, freight cost
• Sets goals and objectives to execute and report results
• Reports returns and causes
• Monitors and tracks the status of products shipped
• Oversees order entry
• Interfaces with various departments and carriers

Qualifications

· AA with 7 years related Experiences

· 5 years supervisory experience

· Shipping orders with big retail stores ( Walmart, Target, Home Depot etc.)

· Must have strong communication and scheduling skills in order to coordinate and execute shipping processes.

· Must possess strong analytical skills.

· Knowledge in programs including ERP systems, individual carrier systems, Retail Link, and DMA a plus.

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel.

Working Conditions

Normal office work environment. Frequently out on the warehouse to pass paperwork to the shipping dock.

Physical Requirements

This is primarily a sedentary office classification and the employees works in an office with moderate noise levels. The position occasionally stands bends, stoops, reaches, pushes and pulls drawers to retrieve and file information that typically weigh less than 20 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

• 8 hour shift

• Associate (Preferred)

Experience:

• Supervising Experience: 5 years (Preferred)
• Logistics & Shipping: 7 years (Preferred)
• Deal with Big Retail Stores (Walmart, Target etc): 3 years (Preferred)
