Warehouse Associate/Assembler- 1st Shift Details

AMQ Solutions- Warehouse Associate I

Summary:

The position of Warehouse Associate is responsible for timely and accurate shipping, receiving and physical movement of product – for both in stock and project orders, within the warehouse. Also, responsible for light packaging (75lb or less), light fabrication and light assembly under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Receiving Duties

o Receive product from inbound trailers/containers (both domestic and international).

o Unload, sort, segregate, count, hand stack and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to AMQ organizational standards

o Assist with receiving consolidated containers and cross-shipment.

o Maintain inventory control by auditing received part numbers and quantities against packing slip(s), recording and reporting discrepancies. May also assist in counting of physical inventory.

· Customer Service

o Greet will call and warehouse guests/drivers with dignity and respect.

o Uphold facility safety practices by politely directing and guiding guest to follow our guidelines

o Verify customer paperwork for will-call and review packing slip with driver/customer

· Outbound /Order Fulfillment/Assembly Duties

o Pull product safely and accurately based on picking ticket for in-stock orders

o Cross-checking picked items to pick ticket to meet 100% picked order accuracy

o Light assembly of various product as required, while consistently meeting required TAKT times.

o Operate and manage 3F screen production using CNC machine operating guidelines

o LTL shipments: Hand stack, stage, verify, wrap and band palletized orders.

o Weigh LTL packages and provide to Shipping Desk to schedule LTL pickup’s

o Will-call orders: Pull, verify and stack in the designated staging area

o Package work surfaces, screens, small parts and assembled product as directed

· Interpersonal Skills

o Ability to work as a team player.

o Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area and workstations neat.

o Properly sort, segregate and dispose of recycled material.

o Sweep, dust, mop and organize warehouse and work areas for orderliness at all times and throughout the workday.

o Wear proper PPE as directed and required including personal corrective vision glass or contact lenses.

o Work closely with warehouse zone leaders and management for day to day planning and scheduling

o Ability to handle stress, focus, give attention to detail & learn new task quickly.

o Ability to comprehend and execute direction related to processes, safety and continuous improvement.

o Ability to concentrate for a long period of time.

o Ability to work in a changing environment.

o Be organized and meet deadlines.

Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Strong organization and communication skills; strong attention to detail; familiarity with operating non-powered equipment (pallet jacks, carts, hand trucks) within the warehouse. Ability to perform basic math equations.

Dependability — Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and able to work under pressure with tight timelines for extended periods.

Achievement/Effort — Job requires a consistent ability to work in a high volume, fast pace environment both independently as well as within a team. Previous Experience Preferred: Familiar with warehouse safety standards as they relate to working around PIT’s in a warehouse setting.

Experience/Education:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 3+ years previous experience in warehouse, inventory control and/or fabrication operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Work Environment:

Position primarily performs work in a warehouse setting;

Safety at workplace: Ensure safe, clean and obstacle free working environment. Moderate noise levels

Must be flexible to work a weekly rotating schedule from 5:30am to 2:00pm in addition to any overtime needs.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to safely lift 75 lbs. independently and continuously as needed.

Must be able to walk, stand or sit for long periods while wearing required PPE.

Ability to work, move and contribute at a high pace within a high-volume environment

Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.

Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

Safety Shoes, Gloves, Glasses/Goggles, Cut Resistant Sleeves and a Face Mask.
