The VP, Global Operations, reports directly to the President, Global Crouse-Hinds, B-Line, Oil & Gas (CBO) business.
This role is responsible for leading Manufacturing Operations through leading People, Products, and Performance across a $1.2B, 5,000 employee 32 site global organization. Will be instrumental in driving profitability and step-change performance within the Crouse-Hinds, B-Line, Oil & Gas culture by leveraging the Eaton Business System (EBS) which includes Continuous Improvement Framework, SIOP, Quality and Safety in order to achieve World Class Manufacturing status.
Essential Functions Include:
- A key member of the CBO Global Leadership Team, the VP of Operations will partner with the other leaders to outline strategy for both Operations and the Division as a whole. Develop, deploy and execute a global operational optimization strategy that provides the best competitive position with core competencies, localized supply chain, and coordinated communication.
- Champion process improvement, operational excellence programs and cross-facility collaboration to achieve optimized performance across our global manufacturing footprint. Create synergies through key performance indicators within manufacturing operations across the regions to maximize manufacturing profit.
- Drive change and results by championing operational excellence and performance initiatives to ensure alignment and successful execution to key business goals and objectives. Work with sites to continually drive improved operational performance as measured by key indicators (High 5) from continuous improvement and through the application of lean manufacturing principles. Ensure all areas of the business are performing to the requirements of the customer, and the company. Challenge the status quo to minimize risk and maximize performance.
- Drive accountability for results yet be supportive and effective at developing individuals to assume greater levels of responsibility and personal contribution. Lead, motivate, and develop the functional team on an ongoing basis, and provide direct feedback, counsel, and coaching to drive practices and processes and overall company performance.
- Partner and network with regional, group and sector functional resources and stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategic objectives, annual goals and metrics and resources.
- Expand organizational capability and cost out optimization to meet and exceed profit plan targets in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics and distribution. Lead SIOP process by driving ownership and collaboration across all key stakeholder groups that align to customer expectations and drive profit plan objectives.
- Continuously improve operations and business processes through alignment with Eaton’s Business System with a strong focus on driving continuous improvement / lean culture and consistent standard of processes for safety, quality, material management, sourcing and cost out.

QualificationsBasic Requirements:
- BA/BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations/Manufacturing, Business Administration or a 4-year technical degree in a related discipline from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 15 years manufacturing operations experience including plant management.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience leading and managing a significant segment/business unit of a large industrial manufacturer or the entire operation of a smaller manufacturer
- Must be able to travel at least 25% of the time domestically and internationally as needed and required
- Must be able to work in the United States on a continual basis without requiring corporate sponsorship
Preferred Requirements:
- Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) preferred
- Strong knowledge and experience with the Eaton Business System and process tools such as profit planning, strategic planning, Organizational Capability Assessment, Eaton Value Cycle, Corporate Accounts, ProLaunch, Lean System/Six Sigma, Supply Chain Management, Fixed Capital Optimization, Eaton Quality System, and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) processes (MESH, ISO 14001, etc.) is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in leading a high mix, multi-site operation; heavy industrial product manufacturing with variety of manufacturing processes (foundry operations, plating, molding, CNC machining, etc.)
- Broad knowledge of key operational systems including sales inventory operations planning (SIOP), materials planning systems (MRP), enterprise resource planning (ERP), and quality systems with diverse experience managing varied and complex manufacturing processes.
- An extensive background in driving continuous improvement activities to improve operational performance including knowledge of lean management systems and lean tools.
- Strong leadership skills along with proven capability to deliver results and build high performance teams.
- Strong operational and financial acumen, executive presence and the ability to lead multiple locations.
