Position starts at $40,000 annaully with 2 scheduled increases in the first year and scheduled after that.


Job Description


The Vocational Rehabilitation Coordinator (VRC) is an essential position for services designed to manage a dynamin caseload of individuals receiving Vocational Rehabilitation Services (VRS) by helping them find and retain community-integrated employment opportunities that line up with their strengths and interests.

The person in this position has the responsibility to carry out a variety of duties including, but not limited to: managing a caseload of individuals, assessment of intakes requiring independent judgement of proposed contracted services and authorizations, processing of referrals, the completion of vocational profiles, job development plans, navigation of the on-boarding/training process and transitioning to long-term, waivered employment support services. This position will work closely with VRS to market services, build relationships, and cultivate referrals. The VRC will be required to address complex billing and invoicing procedures independently and will be required to think both critically and strategically to manage contacts in Dungarvin’s VRS referral network, primary contacts in area transition schools and at businesses throughout the community.

Candidates must support the full integration of adults with disabilities in the community by helping them secure and retain direct-hire employment.


Qualifications
  • A four-year degree is strongly preferred. A two-year degree with two-years experience working with people with disabilities, or four years of experience without a degree, is required.
  • Candidates must be self-motivated, able to manage time, and problem-solve.
  • Must be able to lift and provide physical assistance to program participants.
  • The candidate must be able to teach and coach, handle rejection, have strong interpersonal communication skills, and be adept in the use of technology.
  • The candidate must also be willing and able to represent both the person served and Dungarvin to Vocational Rehabilitation Services, businesses, and members of the community. Knowledge of the employment environment and hiring processes are strongly preferred.
  • Clearance of a Department of Human Services background check and have a driving record that is acceptable to drive while on duty.
