The Department of Physical and Biological Sciences of Columbia College seeks a 1-year full- time visiting instructor with the possibility of converting to a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Biology, with employment to begin in August 2021. Applicants must hold a Master in Physiology, Biology or a closely related field at the time of appointment. PhD preferred. Teaching experience for lecture and laboratory courses is required. A strong commitment to teaching is essential. Typical teaching load is 12 hours per semester and is expected to include advanced courses in human physiology, exercise physiology, and kinesiology as well as human anatomy and introductory biology courses for majors and/or non-majors. The successful candidate will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to use instructional technologies.
