Overview
The videographer/editor position is responsible for recording professional video and audio of interviews, events, trailers, short-form social media content, sizzle reels and other promotional videos. Must utilize the Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.) to create compelling narratives through audio weaving, creative shot selection, and dynamic sequencing. This position involves frequent travel to clients all across the country.
General Skills/Qualities
- Self-sufficient when working independently to complete projects
- Capable of working well within a team environment (Working with on-site producers/photographers to ensure everything is captured – as well as collaborating with other videographers and editors at various stages of a project)
- Confident in giving direction (moving quickly and directing individuals on what they need to do to gather all of the appropriate footage within a short time window)
- Multitasking. Shoots involve having multiple setups running simultaneously. (Example: setting up an interview space for the producer to conduct testimonials, while you film b-roll in other areas)
Videography
- Set up interview spaces (single and multi-cam) [Framing, Audio, Lighting, etc.]
- Stage and film b-roll [Utilizing Ronin S stabilizer + GH5 cameras]
- Utilize a shot list to ensure that all needed footage is obtained
- Use of a drone to capture aerial footage [FFA Part 107 Certification is a plus]
- Traveling Out-of-State [ensure equipment is prepared and packed for travel]
Editing
- Organize media, create project files, sync audio/video
- Create narratives from footage to convey our client’s services and benefits
- Color correction and audio mastering
Motion Graphics / Graphic Design
- Knowledge of After Effects to create or edit motion graphics for videos/logo animations is a plus
