Video & Control Regional Sales Manager - Southeast

About the Role
This mid-level individual will be responsible for selling AMX by HARMAN products and solutions to targeted Harman resellers located in the Southeast region of the U.S. The role will include managing an independent sales rep team focused on the day to day business with our resellers/ partners. In addition, the role will have direct sales engagement & relationship management with corporate, higher education, and government customers. The primary mission is to drive demand for the AMX by HARMAN solution set by establishing, building, and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers in this market to meet/exceed revenue targets.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for driving channel sales revenue by working in partnership with Harman’s independent sales reps in the Southeast Region of the U.S.
- Responsible for driving revenue and building relationships with new & existing customers targeted at corporate, higher education, and government end-user accounts
- Make warm and cold calls to prospective customers to promote business
- Visit potential customers, make presentations, identify key decision-makers
- Plan business growth, identify opportunities & pursue them to successful closure
- Effectively sell to all levels of management in these accounts
- Understand the dimensions of the customer’s environment.
- Always have the client’s best interests in mind and bring a commitment to understanding and driving the success of their clients’ key initiatives, organization, company and history
- Accurately forecast revenue from new and existing accounts
What You Need
- 6+ years of experience in a sales position targeting channel resellers, Corporate, Higher Education, or Government customer accounts
- The ideal candidate must be located in the Southeast region of the US (AL, FL, GA, MS, NC, SC, TN)
- Proven track record of exceeding goals/objectives
- Broad overall knowledge of technology is required
- Ability to book frequent meetings with senior-level executives
- Demonstrated ability to successfully prospect and present to customers, and consistently close large deals
- Ability to understand business requirements and effectively present/articulate HARMAN advanced video and control solutions, audio technology, and lighting solutions.
- Knowledge of procurement policies, information technologies procurement needs, and facilities management within these markets
- Demonstrated ability to quickly ramp up to speed and learn appropriate technologies as well as business acumen associated to segment
- Ability to interface with technical teams and internal departments to ensure customer success
What is Nice to Have
- Recent experience selling audio-visual equipment to higher education customers
- Experience selling audio-visual equipment to corporate or higher education customers
- Experience working in a corporate or higher education audio-visual department
- Experience working for an audio-visual equipment manufacturer or integrator
- Fluency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Dynamics CRM
What Makes You Eligible
- Be willing to travel up to 50%, domestically
- Be willing to work in a home office in the Southeastern US (AL, FL, GA, MS, NC, SC, TN)
- Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
- This position requires the use of a customer-owned vehicle. As such, any offer of employment will be contingent upon having a clean driving record, which will be evaluated and determined in HARMAN’s sole discretion, no more than 4 active points for moving violations (issued by any motor vehicle agency), and no references to operating a vehicle under the influence of controlled substances within the last 10 years.
