We’re looking for an outstanding VP/Group Director, Performance Media—someone who can win the hearts of clients, inspire their teammates, and skillfully juggle multiple pieces of business. What you’ll do:

The VP/Group Director will provide investment leadership across paid media channels, including: video (linear + digital), social, search, display, video, and native. In this role, you will manage the channel investment teams to ensure consistency of go-to-market approach and create synergies with our media strategy to accomplish campaign KPIs.

We are seeking a leader who will bring an innovative approach to buying, endless curiosity to identify new opportunities and an ability to achieve value through strong partner negotiation. You will be able to speak fluently to channel buying tactics; often acting as a representative of the full media investment team to clients and the marketplace.

Day to day, your role includes:

  • Speak fluently to multiple media channels; often acting as a representative of the full media activation team.
  • Operate as a connective tissue with internal agency capabilities to ensure that all relevant teams are aware of media investment details and have a central point of contact to represent the broader investment team.
  • Manage, optimize, and expand programs for all performance marketing channels to maximize the profitability and strategic KPIs (new customer acquisition, lifetime value, etc.).
  • Leverage historic analytics/performance to validate investment strategies, inform tactical decisions and exhibit ongoing willingness to optimization performance for campaign success.
  • Be a strong partner with internal client investment lead, driving spending POVs that ladder to business KPIS/objectives.
  • Manage and maintain relationships with internal team leads and full investment team (up to 15+ people).
  • Be a leader through strength and stability - functioning as a point of escalation for clients and team members as needed.
  • Proven ability to trouble-shoot and quickly problem solve campaign management issues as they arise, as well as effectively partner with Account Management teams to appropriately communicate issues with clients.
  • Strong understanding of agency/holding company tools and offerings that bring immediate value to the client.

Qualifications

We’re looking for an exceptional media leader, which typically includes:

  • 12+ years of media planning and buying experience, with a strong focus on performance media
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, communications, or equivalent
  • Analytical background – comfort with data and numbers; experience in complex modeling for marketing channels such as LTV and diminishing returns. Ability to translate marketing attribution outputs (MMM, MTA) to day-to-day optimizations
  • Six or more years of people managing experience, overseeing five or more reports in an account management/client services team
  • Deep industry relationships with ad tech firms, brand teams, and publisher partners
  • Excellent negotiation skills and understanding of how to add incremental value and communicate that to our clients
  • Strong communication and writing skills—you’re poised, precise, and above all, kind when engaging with others
  • Able to package, merchandise, and sell in concepts and new opportunities
  • Strategic thinking and able to see the bigger picture
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting
