Overview: As VP of Finance, you would serve as a key member of the corporate financial leadership team and as a key financial interface between various executive management. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, your ability to act as a sound business partner will make you an invaluable asset to the organization and to the development of your career.Responsibilities: Develop, with executive leadership, intermediate and long-term strategies to drive the business while providing effective and timely financial information, business analytics, and general information to allow executive leadership to ensure the organization is effectively meeting its strategic operating plan and is adhering to the long-term roadmap.
Review and guide FP&A team in the development of the company consolidated budget, forecast, cash flow model and 5-year models.
Perform and communicate monthly and quarterly financial analyses against last year, budget and forecast to executive leaders
Own and provide oversight of portfolio performance and monitoring including daily, weekly and monthly portfolio reporting, KPI’s and adhoc requests, as well as the continued development of a robust set of static pool/vintage analytics, metrics, and reporting.
Prepare and present to the executive team key data for both current and historical trends which contrast the health and performance of the loan portfolio/revenue cycle at an aggregate level, as well as by state and by product.
Assist in the investor reporting cycle in conjunction with the external reporting team, assisting with quarterly MD&A (Management Discussion & Analysis), the earnings' transcript and Question and Answer document, and the preparation of materials for investors and the Board of Director meetings.
Obtain an in-depth understanding of the current capital structure and financing agreements the organization must abide by ensuring the optimal capital structure. Calculate and monitor key capital covenants and assist in strategies to maintain adherence. Provide guidance and recommendations for future capital transitions. Assist and participate in due diligence as needed.
Drive the identification, assessment and refinement of reporting needs the associated policies and procedures in an effort fully leverage the Company’s investment in technology and automation.
Mentor and grow a successful Finance Department, identifying areas for development, opportunities or staff augmentation.Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or any related field from an accredited college or university
  • 10-15+ years of experience in financial modeling, planning, budgeting, business analysis, and/or accounting activities
  • Strong financial services and or multi-unit retail industry experience
  • Experience with a company whose revenue size is at least $500M or greater
  • Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles and financial statements
  • Knowledge of commonplace processes and procedures in corporate finance
  • Must be effective and efficient in data mining and knowledge discovery
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be an experienced Excel user able to create pivot tables, macros and effective formulas
  • Must be experienced in Hyperion Essbase reporting suite (or, like-kind, reporting and planning tools)
  • Must be able to travel

    Bonus Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in a related field
  • CFA and/or CPA
  • Previous experience supporting investor relations activities (preparing and reviewing materials, execution of bond deal and interfacing with external investors)
  • Experience in a multi-unit or retail environment
  • Experience in investment or commercial banking
