Vice President, Enterprise Applications

THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Vice President (VP) Enterprise Applications will report to the CIO, Information Technology (IT) to provide the strategic leadership, technical capabilities and principles needed to create and sustain a high-performing technology solutions and support function within the organization. The VP will build and promote practices within the IT organization that will drive scalability within the business, stability of all technical solutions, reduce inefficiencies and promote continual improvement to support the strategic direction of our company.
Leads a team of highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals, along with the applications, tools, and integrations leveraging cutting-edge technologies (custom developed and off the shelf). It will be your responsibility to set the direction, develop the technical direction, and to deliver on the stated commitments of the company. One of the most important roles you will play as the leader in this organization is to recruit, hire, coach and develop the IT Enterprise Applications team.
THE ROLE:
- Lead the development, management, and support of Freedom Financial Network’s (FFN) business applications portfolio and the life cycle to support all corporate functions. FFN’s core enterprise systems include Oracle Cloud HCM, Oracle Cloud ERP, SalesForce, GenesysCloud Contact Center Platform, and several related solutions across HR, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Customer Service, and Sales
- Lead our use of Integration technology (Boomi), RPA, AI/ML solutions that drive employee productivity
- Lead our technology selection, development and deployment across the company.
- Lead the transformation of the Enterprise Applications team into a full-fledged partner of the company’s business functions to maximize business value and drive total solution implementations
- Lead a team of highly skilled and knowledgeable leaders to develop strong relationships at the executive level within the business to: 1) develop roadmaps, 2) drive execution of programs and projects, and 3) meet or exceed expectations of business leaders
- Build effective partnerships between business and IT teams to deliver both strategic and tactical solutions critical to the success of their business, processes, and company
- Implement scalable technology solutions that will support the company’s explosive growth and provide employees with tools and processes to deliver better outcomes for customers, business partners, internal stakeholders, and shareholders
- Establish a change management framework to develop functional requirements, select vendors, procure solutions, and reengineer the company’s business processes and legacy systems infrastructure
- Manage program budget, provide financial forecasts, track project milestones, and deliver expected return on investment
- Manage definition, approval and incorporation of business requirements into high value solutions.
- Justify and prioritize business requirements, system configuration, customizations and development plans using a common set of portfolio management tools.

- Provide engineering execution excellence, as well as technical vision and direction, to ensure the team is aligned with the strategic direction of the company
- Recruit A+ talent and lead hiring efforts for the team, with a focus on scaling, improving speed, quality, and efficiency over time. Provides strong hands-on leadership and mentoring to highly technical product development teams and cultivates a culture of empowerment and accountability
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the distributed development teams
- Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of new services, tools and features while proactively and efficiently collaborating with all stakeholders. Helping stakeholders to decompose their projects into concrete units of work for the development team
- Lead the teams to predictably deliver high-quality, scalable software
- Implement new team processes and effectively lead change management
REQUIREMENTS/CHARACTERISTICS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent (required)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience leading technical teams
- Extraordinary dynamic leadership capability including demonstrated ability to be a change agent and influence the direction of the organization while maintaining a culture where associates are recognized as important assets to the organization
- Experience with building and managing a team of 25 or more engineers, business analysts, project managers, leaders, with experience in hiring and mentoring managers.
- Experience with leading a PMO and deploying key program/project management disciplines
- Ability to translate business objectives into actionable development plans.
- Experience with micro services architecture is a plus
- Experience with private/public cloud and CI/CD frameworks
- Strong and detailed knowledge of architectures, web-based technologies, cloud computing, continuous integration and deployment methodologies
- Strong project management, change management, and critical reasoning skills including ability to (i) analyze highly complex facts or situations, (ii) summarize the results in a logical and concise manner, and (iii) present recommendations for action to senior management
- Experience in translating customer business requirements into workable business solutions, either as a software solution or a re-engineering initiative
- Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and drive to deliver high-quality work
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Hands-on player coach with strong management skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment
- Experience with event driven systems, API orchestration, routing and choreography
- Excellent communication, analytical and creative problem-solving skills with strong detail orientation.
