Valet Attendant/Ambassador

Description:OVERVIEW
The Valet position is a high profile, customer service position. Individuals must be personable and compassionate, as they serve patients and visitors of the hospital.
SHIFT: Monday - Friday , 9 AM to 5:30 PM
RESPONSIBILITIES- Report to work on time and for your scheduled shifts. Maintaining an acceptable attendance record as defined by Cornerstone Parking Group is a key component to this position.
- Report to work in proper uniform. Clean, neat, professional appearance as established by Cornerstone.
- Provide courteous, prompt, and professional customer service by greeting and assisting valet customers with opening/closing car doors, providing wheelchairs as needed, providing information and directions, etc. Ensure customer is at the correct location before processing valet check-in.
- Communicate to customers about 15 minute spaces, check-in with Security if it will be longer
- Follow damage check procedures for valet vehicles before moving vehicle.
- Safely and efficiently park and retrieve vehicles from assigned parking areas
- Keep traffic moving, building entrances clear, and drive lanes/fire lanes clear. Communicate with patients/visitors about time allowed to park in certain areas.
- Collect wheel chairs from other areas and return to information desk.
- Use of cell phones, headphones, earphones, etc. is prohibited while on duty.
- Handle customer questions, problems, and complaints in a friendly and efficient manner. Consult information desk as needed.
- Inform office of any problems or complaints from customers and employees that need further action
- Adherence to HIPAA guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
. Requirements:- Possess a strong desire to serve and care for valet customers with courtesy and professionalism
- Consistently demonstrate courtesy and professionalism when interacting with customers, colleagues, management and leadership teams, and our client
- High standard of integrity; reliable, responsible
- Physical demands: Able to stand, walk, and jog for extended periods of time. Being on your feet and moving accounts for approximately 95% of time during shift, depending on parking volume, day of the week, time of day and location.
- Driving and parking vehicles of varying sizes
- Ability to withstand varying weather conditions, including rain, snow, heat, cold, etc.
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license and responsible driving record
- Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle, strongly preferred
- 1 yr. customer service experience preferred
