Position Summary.What you'll do.- Conduct forecast analysis for assigned group of categories or department identifying and analyzing factors that impact customer demand for products (for example, product or category trends, seasonality, competitive products); designing and conducting statistical forecast analysis and ad hoc reports to incorporate impacting factors and to identify trends, performance, and concerns; evaluating historical data (for example, lost sales, market trends, and promotions); determining and incorporating demand forecast inputs; conducting error analysis in order to identify any gaps or concerns; adjusting forecasting model based on changes to customer demand and trends; communicating forecast, including risks, uncertainty, and assumptions; and collaborating with key stakeholders (for example, Replenishment Managers) to align demand forecasts to business plans.
- Conduct inventory management process and strategy improvement for categories or department (for example, safety stock) by evaluating and identifying factors that impact department and item performance (for example, sales, inventory, store space); analyzing opportunities and gaps; developing solutions to address opportunities and gaps; recommending system settings that support the department strategy and align to business plans and financial goals; collaborating with key stakeholders (for example, Replenishment Directors) to gain alignment for recommendations; and completing and maintaining inventory management settings in order to drive consistency and effectiveness.
- Implement one best way for demand management processes and analytical models and measures the results for impact (for example, finances, workflow, speed) by collaborating with leadership at category or department level with recommendations for model and process change for a category or department only; partnering with key stakeholders (for example, Demand Managers in other areas, Replenishment Managers) to implement process and tools; making recommendations for improvements to process and tools based on results in category group or department; and performing tests to track results on process, system, and model changes.
- Demonstrate up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
- Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
- Model compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by incorporating these into the development and implementation of business plans; using the Open Door Policy; and demonstrating and assisting others with how to apply these in executing business processes and practices.
