Company Description Some of the responsibilities of the triage nurse include triage patients over the telephone or face-to-face, assess and evaluate patient concerns, screen the illness, advising the patient in home self-care when appropriate, and facilitating an office visit with Provider when necessary; being able to decide and coordinate timeliness of the visit, such as emergency room, urgent, this week, next week, etc.; document triage decisions in the electronic health record system on current patients and refer all pertinent information accordingly. Job Description
The Triage Nurse provides care to individuals or defined patient populations through the use of telecommunications or face-to-face interactions, in accordance with triage protocols and guidelines. The nurse uses critical thinking and communication skills to assess, plan, implement, educate and evaluate patient outcomes.
Qualifications
Qualifications include RN or LPN in the state of Nebraska; BLS; self-starter; ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; computer skills.
