Shift: Shift 1 | M-F


Summary:

Provides support to the transplant team including medical record retrieval, scheduling patient appointments and testing, preparing patient itineraries, generating letters and mailings, completing checklists and entering patient demographic data. A high degree of personal initiative, attention to detail and accuracy is required in a fast-paced multidisciplinary clinic and ancillary setting. Duties include patient interaction, faculty and referring physician interaction, utilization of patient information and billing systems, coordination of insurance documentation, creation of patient demographic records, creation and maintenance of program schedules and triage of a high volume of incoming telephone calls. Ensures an efficient and timely workflow for both the patients and the coordinator. Other duties as assigned.


Responsibilities:

A minimum of one year of clerical experience in a healthcare setting is required. Experience as an administrative assistant in a health care environment is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Other information:


Knowledge of personal computers including working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, graphs and tables. Familiarity with medical terminology.
