Training Supervisor Details

Summary:


The Training Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating safety, equipment and operational processes training programs and supervising Training Coordinators.


Job Duties: -


  • Develops training plans and processes to be implemented by Training Coordinators
  • Monitors training activities to ensure all weekly scheduled training is conducted
  • Develops metrics to evaluate training effectiveness; modifies training content or delivery method to meet training objectives
  • Develops new training programs when needed, such as related to Value Added Services
  • Compiles report to management of training statistics with recommendations for successful training activities
  • Supervises employees including: interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
  • Other duties as required and assigned


    Requirements:


  • High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant training experience in warehouse; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience conducting training on warehouse equipment such as electric pallet jacks, reach truck forklift, sit down forklift and order picker
  • Knowledge of safety compliance for operating equipment
  • PC literate to include proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to conduct training classes for audiences at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to develop, write and proof training materials
  • Proven presentation and facilitation skills

    Environment:


    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles, and is regularly exposed to ambient lighting and temperate climate conditions.
