The Training Manager is responsible for the Workday Training plan and schedule for the One- Washington program and stakeholders. You will work to coordinate and enhance the cohesiveness between all training facets of the program. You will provide oversight and development for the Workday Training strategy, as well as associated resources assigned to the program. You will also collaboratively work with stakeholders in the creation and dissemination of training materials and engagement activities.Who we are Our work at the Office of Financial Management serves as a crucial part of the decision-making that the governor, Legislature and state agencies do each year. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
What will you be doing? Lead the One Washington Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) training efforts in collaboration with the OCM Director and vendor partners; provides consultation to decision-makers and users.Select and manage training resources, including both internal employees and training vendors, to develop and deliver ERP training requirements.Organize meetings with the project staff before preparing course materials to ensure a detailed understanding of training subjects and processes.Identify and monitor training needed throughout the enterprise; oversees the design, planning, and implementation of training programs, policies, and procedures; evaluates enterprise training performance and needs to ensure training is meeting business needs and improves performance.Provide oversight, leadership, and direction to the ERP training team responsible for the production of training materials and conducting of ERP training enterprise-wide.Oversee the comprehensive development and future revision of the ERP training materials utilized in the training of finance, procurement, budget, and human capital management employees. Use industry established training methods, models, and tools to effectively focus training needs and organizational change management of personnel to ensure successful outcomes.Use professional expertise to advise and make recommendations to the leadership team regarding long term strategies in managing ERP training needs; coordinates with project leadership to ensure timely and productive training is scheduled for enterprise partners.Oversee project training seminars, workshops, and individual training sessions as required to enhance enterprise-wide partners understanding of business processes.Keep abreast of training trends, developments, and best industry practices to enhance One Washington training needs/requirements.Develop and implement a comprehensive communication strategy for the training program with consultation from the program’s communications lead.Conduct assessments and analyses to define performance, skill, and knowledge gaps; recommends training and development to drive individual and enterprise-wide capability and performance improvement.Establish and maintain individual and enterprise-wide performance evaluation methods for training content, delivery, activities, engagement, and outcomes; utilizes metrics to validate knowledge transfer and return on investment.Supervise a team of 10 trainers in the accomplishment of all ERP training initiatives; establishes and holds individuals accountable to standards and expectations. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in adult learning theory, education, instructional design, human relations, or a closely allied field.*Three years’ experience in adult learning theory, education, instructional design, human relations, or a closely allied field.Five years of increasingly responsible supervisory experience. *Additional professional experience in adult learning theory, education, instructional design, human relations, or closely allied field may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Desired QualificationsFive years’ experience in adult learning theory, education, instructional design, human relations, or a closely allied field. Understanding of the functioning of state government, the legislative system, and individual state agencies. Knowledge of quality improvement tools and processes. Strong knowledge of organizational change management purpose and techniques. Condition of Employment: On Aug. 9, 2021, Gov.
