Training Developer Details

Job Summary:

The Training Developer is responsible for the development of on-line learning content for Account Representatives. The content developed supports Account Representatives to execute compliant collection calls, stay up-to- date on changes to client requirements, and continue their development. The Training Developer manages the Learning Resource Center and supports the instructional design process working closely with the Curriculum Designers and subject matter experts, researching and developing on-line content including, training videos, web based quick reference tools, eLearning modules and blog communications.

Essential Duties:

  • Owns the ARS Learning Resource Center (LRC) and appropriateness of all content accessible from the LRC.
  • Design eLearning content and internal web pages / tools which adhere to established ARS and client requirements.
  • Create graphical/audio/visual design modules for digital eLearning and online interactive content.
  • Manages, maintains, and provides technical support and optimization of applicable learning management system (LMS).
  • Convert client provided content into dynamic and engaging eLearning presentations and interactive modules.
  • Develop course materials which can be understood by diverse target audiences.
  • Create application demos and simulations using advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Publisher, Adobe applications, and additional content design software as necessary.
  • Work independently and in conjunction with Curriculum Designers, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines and project plans effectively.
  • Work with Manager of Training to determine priorities and project deadlines, and work with various teams and functions on training new software and technologies.
  • Display strong project management and organizational skills while coordinating with training team members to track and report on project progress to necessary department leaders.
  • Use sound instructional principles to design, develop, and implement high-quality, engaging learning experiences including eLearning, micro-learning, video, blog posts, and blended learning.
  • Coordinate with training facilitators on best practices, training content and user learning paths.
  • Create storyboards, scripts, multimedia, narration, graphics, gamification, animations and interactive simulations.

Technical and/or Functional Skills & Knowledge

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in designing content for online consumption, instructional technology or related field
  • Proven experience in rapid development software programs such as: Captivate, Muse, Camtasia, Articulate and audio/visual editing experience
  • Ability to communicate and interact across business and with business partners as required; work in team-oriented environment
  • Strong analytical skills and project management skills
  • Passion for excellence, high level of energy, strong ability to energize others
  • Ability to translate varying areas of focus into training programs that effectively communicate their message to the desired audience

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a climate-controlled setting, seated continuously and is sedentary the majority of the work day. This position is in a call center with moderate to high noise levels & frequent foot traffic. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computer, phones and photocopiers. Work area stations and cubicles are close in proximity to others.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is continuously required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers; and have moderate reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear, sit and see in order to perform close-up computer work and phone equipment, and requires close-up vision and color recognition.
