Township Manager

Summary: Full time position under the supervision of the Board of Supervisors for all administrative and project support work as directed by the Supervisors.

Supervision Responsibilities: May be assigned to supervise or direct staff or outside vendors or consultants to complete projects as needed.

Essential Job Functions and Requirements:

· Provides direct support to the Board of Supervisors in a wide variety of Municipal Government areas

· Superior organizational skills

· Ability to prioritize projects and work assignments

· Requires outstanding computer skills

· Ability to manage simple and complex projects, both short and long term

· Ability to work with residents and others, assess their needs, formulate a plan of action, and administer completion thereof

· Able to work under supervision and complete tasks independently with little to no supervision

· Communicates with Board of Supervisors and other staff members on a variety of tasks and projects

· Maintains records as required by Jurisdictional Agencies

· Assist with property of all Board Meeting documents and physical meeting room set up for Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission meetings

· May provide meeting set up and assistance for other meetings as required

· Keeps all information organized and accessible; responsible to create and maintain filing system with search engine kept on the shared drive

· Possesses initiative to recognize needs and ability to solve problems

· Recording secretary at various meetings as may be required, responsible for timely distribution of draft minutes

· Regularly maintains and updates Township website

· Familiar with local government operations

· All other duties as assigned

Administrative Assistant

Summary: Responsible for routine administrative functions such as drafting correspondences, scheduling appointments, providing information to callers and communicating with township employees by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Completes payroll and accounts payable processes.*

2. Processes and issues annual W-2's and 1099's.*

3. Completes workers compensation claims.*

4. Files insurance policies and claims.*

5. Processes bi-monthly, monthly, and quarterly taxes.*

6. Prepares multiple budgets and audits for the township.*

7. Creates new employee ID's and assists employee with replacement ID's.*

8. Orders office supplies as necessary.*

9. Assists with building & driveway permits as well as on-lot sewage permits.*

10. Performs PA One Calls and 911 addressing.*

11. Completes state ethics forms and lien letters as necessary.*

12. Assists employees with questions regarding health benefits and pensions.*

13. Completes all necessary clearances for employees.*

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Up to $17.00 per hour
