Job Description

The Manager of Total Rewards, will be responsible for assessing, recommending, developing, implementing and introducing progressive, proactive compensation and benefits / wellness programs. These programs will provide motivation, incentives and rewards that will drive success in achieving a positive employee experience while ensuring the strategic and financial goals of the firm are met. The Manager will formulate a Total Rewards philosophy to serve as the foundation for the Company’s long-term growth and development. The entrepreneurial Manager of Total Rewards will have the opportunity to be creative while positively making a difference in the organization.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Develop total rewards strategy in alignment with company’s long-term strategic plans
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, wellness, worker’s comp, leave of absence and other ancillary benefits and initiatives
  • Evaluate and advise on the vendors to ensure we are maximizing company dollars and remaining competitive with our peers in the industry and changing market conditions
  • Oversee the effectiveness, and implementation of wellness and employee health practices, programs, policies, and guidelines
  • Recommend modifications and new programs to impact total rewards strategy and the employee experience
  • Craft and/or revise incentive programs that are competitive and align with the Company's strategic plans including the mix of base and bonus as well as retention programs for production, servicing, underwriting, administrative areas and key leadership positions
  • Ensure regulatory compliance of all compensation, benefits, and employee health/wellness programs and the items that affect attraction, engagement and retention of employees
  • Develop compensation linkage to the annual performance evaluation process to reward and sustain and retain high performance and high performing employees
  • Ensure that all payroll, compensation and benefit functions comply with federal, state and local laws and regulations
  • Ensure the financial viability of all total rewards functions in relation to the organization's financial position
  • Maintain positive and strong relationships with internal customers, HR peers, and external partners
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ Years of experience in a Human Resource leadership position
  • Experience with compensation and benefits is a must
  • A talent for driving change with a sense of ownership for getting results
  • The desire and ability to create a crucial business function from scratch in a highly entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to win trust and communicate at all levels of the company in a comfortable, confident and accountable manner
  • Experience using Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Workday or similar platform
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, or human resource management required, MBA preferred
  • HR Certification(s) (e.g. CEBS/PHS/SPHR etc.) is preferred
