Tire Service & Alignment Tech Full Time -Mankato

Tire Service and Alignment Technician service our customer vehicles in wheel alignments, steering components, suspension components, brakes, exhaust, oil change, tire rotation, tire mounting and balancing, completing vehicle courtesy checks, and complete vehicle inspections as they continue learning new skills.
Essential Job Functions The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities w ith or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Change oil and oil filters
- Check fluids and air filters
- Install batteries and check charging systems
- Check/replace bulbs and wipers
- Install parts which include shocks, struts and accessories
- Diagnose and repair to specifications for brakes, suspension, steering, and exhaust repairs
- Inform store management of equipment mechanical repair problems as they occur
- Maintain an organized and neat bay
- Ensure all services are completed with a high degree of quality and meet the needs of the customer
- Adhere to all company policy, procedure, safety, and environmental rules
- Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing automotive technology
Other Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
Nature of Supervision:
- Must be able to work independently with direction from Auto Service Manager. Receives regular guidance and direction. Must be able to effectively work with other Team Members.
Education/Experience:
- 18 years of age with a valid driver's license
- Previous experience in a customer-focused role in a service/mechanical setting preferred
- High level of motivation, energy, and customer-focused attitude
- Demonstrated ability to learn basic mechanical tasks
- 2 ASE certification preferred
Work Environment:
- Work is completed in an auto service center. Safety must be the number one priority of all Team Members when completing work.
