Job Description Summary: The Mental Health Therapist is responsible to provide diagnostic assessment, therapy, and counseling to foster and adoptive children, adolescents and families or caregivers. The therapist will be aware of services and resources in the community and work closely with the 2INgage team to provide information when required. The Therapist is to establish positive, trusting rapport with clients, provide assessments, counseling, and adjust treatment plans as necessary and maintain thorough records of patient services and progress. In This Opportunity You Will Get To: Ability to complete Intake, Assessments, evaluations including development and implementation of Treatment Plans and other documentation in a timely manner. Evaluate clients' mental status based on review of client information, interviews, observation, tests, and collaboration with other staff members to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans. Conduct initial family assessments and refer clients, or family members to services needed. Develop and implement treatment plans based on Diagnosis, clinical experience, and knowledge. Modify treatment activities and approaches as needed to comply with changes in clients' status. Meet with case managers, families, and school staff and other interested parties to exchange necessary information as needed. Submit billing and other related paperwork in a timely fashion. Follows all accreditation standards and governmental regulations regarding Mental Health Clinical Services and compliance with all agency policies and procedures. Develops, promotes, and practices teamwork in all activities. Attends staff/agency meetings as required Assists the Clinical Director with programs implementation and completes all assigned duties. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or in a Human Services related field. At least one year of experience working with children, youth, and families. Independent licensure as an LPC or LCSW Valid Texas Driver’s License and proof of insurance. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT Typically works in a mobile environment (most work is performed outside of the office environment) and is exposed occasionally to adverse environmental conditions.
