Purpose
The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for the sale of the organization's product in a specific territory, major geographical area and/or ecommerce. Provides ongoing support to product distribution channel by performing the following duties.
Essential Job Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Directs implementation and execution of Tech’s sales policies, practices and promotions through e-commerce, distribution and team accounts.
Works in assigned territories to determine coverage by visiting shops through the Route Identification process and implement corrective steps for lack of coverage when necessary. Offering e-commerce support to customers during sales call.
Promotes e-commerce sales to customers and distributors in both open and covered territories, execute all promotions through push / pull strategies and ensures all customers are connected to a distributor through website.
Follow up on e-commerce leads passed to distributors to ensure customer’s purchase preference is achieved .
Is aware of each distributor cash flow so that potential issues are identified and addressed while enforcing Tech’s shipping and payment terms .
Assists distributor with on the job training, including seminars, on line training and truck rides.
Deliver and promote training. Help the distributor and technicians with hands-on training by being confident in the fundamentals of tire and wheel service.
Sales Management representation of Tech to the distributors.
Assists at trade shows where necessary.
Provides suggestions of process improvement opportunities for Tech .
Responsible for collecting and forwarding competitive information.
Meets once a quarter with each domestic distributor assigned to their list of responsibilities.
Responsible for quarterly sales meetings with distributors within territory.
Responsible for recruiting, training, coaching, and if necessary, replacing distributors within your assigned territory.
Proactively visit distributors and introduce them to new products, sales techniques, e-commerce promoting, while establishing strong business relationships.
Submit all necessary reporting accurately and on time .
Supervision
No employee supervision responsibilities.
Education and/or ExperienceBachelor’s Degree and a minimum of three years related experience and/or training in the tire/rubber industry or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language SkillsAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; E-mail software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
