TEMP - Golf Shop Attendant - Firewheel Golf Park

Position Summary: Responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the Pro Shop at the Firewheel Golf Park.

Ensure guests are attended to in a prompt, efficient and personalized manner. - Process greens fees and golf cart rentals for Firewheel Golf Park guests.
- Receive deliveries of product from vendors and ensues proper storage.
- Assist with stocking, inventory and ordering of merchandise for the Pro Shop.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Communicate guest concerns or comments to the Assistant Golf Professional or Manager as needed.
- Review schedule for changes, calendar of events and facility activities on a daily basis ensuring regular and reliable attendance.
- Utilize the Point of Sales (POS) system for all Golf Shop transactions. Balance cash drawer at the end of shift and/or day.
Minimum Education & Work Experience : ?High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) ?No experience required Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Preferred Knowledge - Abilities & Skills: Education/ Experience: - 1-3 years’ experience working in a golf shop
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of golf course operation practices and procedures
- Basic knowledge of the standards techniques of playing and teaching golf and of golf terminology and etiquette
- Basic knowledge of golf-related concessions, equipment merchandising, maintenance of course and related facilities
- Basic knowledge of office procedures, methods and equipment with particular reference to receiving and accounting for the receipt of cash
- Basic knowledge in the operation of validating machines, cash registers, calculators and other common office machines
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to evaluate market trends in golf related sportswear and equipment and the trend relation to the course's customers
- Ability to enforce golf course and facilities rules and regulations firmly, tactfully and impartially
- Ability to take oral and written instructions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public
Licenses & Certifications: ????Valid Class C Texas driver's license ?P.G.A. Member or in their Apprentice Program preferred, not required Physical Tasks & Working Conditions: The incumbent works in a retail shop as well as an office environment; occasional exposure to unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards including exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes, toxic or caustic chemicals. Occasional work and other physical labor such as standing, walking, bending/stooping, kneeling and squatting. Must be able to lift/carry/move, at times, 50-75 pounds.
