HOW YOU WILL DO IT

As a Technical Systems Analyst - Engineering , you will serve as the Voice of IT as it relates to application ownership by converting business requirements into detailed system requirements and conceptual designs, creating and executing unit/module tests for solutions, managing the system lifecycle and supplier relationship for applications, and providing Customer Service Excellence while supporting and improving the solutions.

Key Job Accountabilities:

  • Contribute as a global team member, or lead team member, to develop enterprise solutions. Represent technical solutions by collaborating with all IT Teams (e.g. Infrastructure, Development, Service Desk) to ensure the solutions meets design expectations.
  • Exercise tool knowledge related to assigned area to provide Level 3 End User support for escalations (including authoring of PDUs), while ensuring that annual objectives are met, IT Principles/Procedures are followed, and IT Service Levels (SLAs) are attained. Perform system monitoring trend analysis to make product improvement recommendations.
  • Create and deliver to application roadmap (technical and functionality based on priorities identified by Business Systems Analysts), including focus on technology, upgrades, and decommissions. Actively participate in or lead Supplier Business Reviews (SBRs) and other continuous improvement related meetings with suppliers, while driving and communicating the outcomes and actions.
  • Coordinate project delivery by using database knowledge to drive the design or review of test cases, participate in design reviews and walkthroughs to communicate systems designs, and perform/coordinate module and unit testing.
  • Work with business analysts to develop detailed system requirements (SRS) and screen mockups, followed by articulating those into conceptual system designs to be communicated to Analyst/Programmers. Manage the priority of demands to map them appropriately into an application-focused functionality roadmap.

Additional Accountabilities:

  • Lean and Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in lean and continuous improvement activities, including gemba walks, kaizen events, training, etc.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that solutions support Plexus and customer policies surrounding key controls and compliance, such as SOX, ITAR, EAR, FDA, and others as appropriate.
  • User Access/Security: Establish and maintain user access/role to approved applications and external customer access in accordance with existing procedures including, but not limited to, Segregation of Duties (SOD).
  • Technical Currency: Remain current on Plexus business, industry and IT technology trends in order to provide forward looking solutions.

Education/Experience Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Four (4) years of related experience is required.
  • Experience in computing systems or IT support is highly desirable.
  • Analytical mindset and good problem solving skills.
  • Proficiency with computing systems as required for this position; computing skills such as data analysis techniques or database query abilities are preferred.

An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.
