What you will do
Responsible for accurate and timely completion of calibrations on various instrumentation and measuring devices used on the product test facilities under the jurisdiction of the Test Lab group. This includes maintenance of calibration equipment, interfacing with outside calibration agencies, transport of instruments to/from the Test Facilities, and upkeep of required calibration records. Also provides troubleshooting and corrective action support for instrumentation and data quality issues during execution of tests.
How you will do it
- Timely completion of calibrations on various temperature, pressure and power instrumentation and measuring devices using established company procedures and schedules.
- Facilitate transport and setup of instrumentation and standards to and from the Test Facilities for required calibrations.
- Work with outside calibration agencies to maintain current calibration status on all primary calibration standards.
- Organize and keep current any required calibration records, files, and data bases
- Assist in developing, writing and maintaining any necessary or existing calibration lab procedures.
- Provide purchasing, shipping, receiving, or any other required logistics and documentation to support the above duties in accordance with established company procedures and policies.
- Will become proficient enough in above duties to assist and train other employees in handling of instrumentation and related calibration procedures.
- Provides troubleshooting and corrective action support for calibration, instrumentation and data quality issues.
- Works closely with Test Lab team to construct/assemble new equipment and instrumentation as required.

Qualifications
What we look for
Required Qualification:
- Associate Degree in Technology OR a minimum of 6 years of equivalent work experience in a technical environment
- Familiarity with data acquisition and related electronic instrumentation including sensors, software, hardware, cabling, connectors, data communications and networking
- Basic understanding of electrical and electronic assembly techniques including wiring and soldering
- Operate with a high degree of independence, responsibility and self-motivation
- Ability to work in fast-paced, schedule driven work environment
- Handle multiple concurrent tasks while maintaining high attention to details and documentation
- Advanced logical thinking and troubleshooting ability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude including basic skills in pneumatics, electronics and wiring
- Ability to communicate across functional groups to deliver results for internal customers
- Basic software programming and debugging ability in text-based and/or graphical programming languages
- Proficient with operation and use of personal computer and software including Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), Internet software and E-mail
- Basic understanding of refrigeration systems and concepts
