Your Role and Responsibilities
The Technical Solution Manager leads complex, cross competency, proposal efforts and provides leverage and expertise for our Partners, Associate Partners, and the Sales community. The Technical Solution Manager drives out the detailed solution and plans across large complex, multi competency and/or international proposals, with a focus on our ability to execute. They leverage technical, project, contracting, and delivery experience to manage risk.

The Technical Solution Manager is responsible for all aspects of solution development for the end to end solution including:

  • Technical solution qualification
  • Participation in client meetings to articulate technical benefits of solution
  • Manages, coordinates, designs and/or leads proof of concept/technology efforts
  • Provides management of solution lifecycle including cadence, status tracking, and issue resolution
  • Manages Client requirements gathering
• Responsible for the detailed solution development including:• Technical solution aspects• Architecture

  • Hardware
  • Software
• Agents/Adaptors/End points• Project / Solution Aspects• Project plans and costs (WBS)• Project Management
  • Technical execution
• Contract management• Labor sourcing

• Tax• Assists in technical, pricing and/or solution assurance reviews
  • Handling escalations and resolving issues that are impacting solution design or individual opportunities
  • Works with the team to begin delivery with a focus on IBM and client success
  • Contributes to signings, revenue, and profit by developing and delivering high quality solutions that win in the marketplace

This is a demanding role best suited for the individual passionate about security, knowledgeable about solution design processes, and IBM Security Services offerings. Resource must be willing to endure the pressures of the services profession, desire to have impact within IBM, and drive a high standard of quality to enable business success for the practice.

Security Domain Skills• Solid knowledge of the IBM Security Services portfolio of services
  • Depth of knowledge in one or more of our security offering areas
  • Understanding of compliance issues and industry standards frameworks
Solution Design and Assurance Skills• In-depth knowledge and experience crafting and delivering complex security solutions
  • Experience with the GTS and/or GBS solution design and quality assurance processes
  • Experience in project management, technical cost estimating, and review
  • Experience with services costing, pricing, and tools (WBS, SDM Costing, SDM GPE, APTTUS)
  • Experience working with consulting, systems integration, and operational methods
  • Ability to creatively solve complex client problems leveraging IBM Security Services, the broader IBM, and partners to develop winning solutions that deliver successfully
If you are hired into a Colorado work location, the anticipated compensation range for the position $115,000 to $178,000 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • At least 2 years’ experience in developing solutions related to security
  • At least 2 years’ experience in a perform role as security consultant or architect
  • Experience working across diverse teams to facilitate solutions

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience in working international roles and bids
  • Working knowledge of French, Spanish, and Portuguese
  • Industry Standard certifications in Security (i.e CISSP) and/or Cloud Practitioner Certifications
