The Judicial Council is transforming the way attorneys, justice partners, and the public conducts business with the California courts, the largest court system in the nation serving over 39 million residents. The Information Technology Office (JCIT) is responsible for introducing new technologies and electronic services to achieve the goal of a digital court. JCIT is directly responsible for the development, acquisition, implementation and support of automated systems in the appellate courts, trial courts and the Judicial Council. The role for this Technical Project Manager (Sr. BSA) position is to demonstrate an understanding of emerging technologies for networking, cloud hosting solutions and identity management. Additionally, an understanding of program and project management methodologies, vendor management and a high level of communication and reporting efficiencies. This position receives general direction and supervision and requires a motivated self-starter that can manage situations and make decisions with little or ambiguous input based on industry best practice and experience. In Sacramento, the office is located minutes from downtown, just north of Discovery Park. The successful candidate will be expected to work in the San Francisco or Sacramento office. Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree, and five (5) years of experience providing technical and business process support, analysis, or project management for systems/applications. Possession of a bachelor’s degree in a directly related field such as computer science, management information systems, etc., may be substituted for one of the years of required experience. An additional four years of professional experience as noted above may substitute for the bachelor’s degree. Or, additional directly related experience and/or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis. OR One year as a Business Systems Analyst with the Judicial Council of California or one year of experience performing the duties of a class comparable in the level of responsibility to that of a Business Systems Analyst in a California Superior Court or California state-level government entity.
