Purpose of Job

The Product Marketing Manager will be responsible for content creation, launch of new and existing products across a variety of platforms, ensuring successful product releases and achieving customer satisfaction. This role will require working collaboratively with all stakeholders to define and drive product marketing requirements through product and release launches.

The Product Marketing Manager will help advertise our products to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will oversee and drive the creative direction of key marketing initiatives. With the current emerging cybersecurity trends, your role will be key in crafting state of the art marketing collateral for our customers in the B2B space, representing APCON as a cutting-edge solution provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees APCON’s highly technical marketing projects and drives value introducing our customers to new concepts which can help them achieve their business goals
  • Manages the technical marketing function to showcase APCON as a leader in the network security and data monitoring arenas
  • Works collaboratively to define and drive product concepts, features, functionality, and specifications in order to exceed customer requirements
  • Drives product releases and product launches to build technical product messaging, developing product collateral and sales tools, and provides general support of the launch plan across functional areas
  • Participates in product positioning discussions and brings new ideas and market research to the table
  • Performs ongoing customer and competitive analysis and conducts market research to understand competitive technologies and trends
  • Conducts technical product training for internal and external stakeholders
  • Provides progress reports and other related updates and records to Executive Management

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Product Marketing or Technical Marketing role
  • 3+ years’ Product Management experience with Enterprise Networking products
  • Ability to convert technical information into marketing collateral and assets
  • B2B marketing experience with high-tech products
  • General understanding of networking products and protocols

  • Ability to prioritize and be flexible in a fast-paced environment

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BSCS/BSEE, MSCS/MSEE preferred)

Travel: Occasionally, up to 10%

Physical Demands: To perform the duties of this position, you must have the ability to occasionally sit, stand, bend, twist, reach, carry, lift, pull, and push between 1-15 lbs.
