Technical Inside Sales Representative

The Technical Inside Sales Representative is the face of MCAM. They work closely with current customers and support Key Account Managers in locking in new business. MCAM provides OEM parts and assembly services to the medical, semiconductor, oil & gas, aerospace and other hi-tech markets. We are an industry leader in manufacturing critical parts and components out of high-performance polymers from CNC machining, injection molding, fabrication, and carbon fiber composites.
Principal Accountabilities- Ensure day to day customer service and inside sales activities are met including but not limited to processing quotes, orders, RMA’s, Sales requests, status updates, etc. to meet customers deadlines.
- Evaluation and estimating of customer data, conceptual part drawings, material specs, material yield, tolerances, quality specs, documentation, etc.
- Support customer with quoting, material specification, fact finding and general questions as needed. Resolve customer inquiries and complaints.
- Learn the basics and application of products so support can be provided to internal and external customers.
- Assisting with the proper evaluation and approval of design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
- Generate and manage new projects, coordination of those projects with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, QA, and follow through completion of project.
- Provide pre-sales technical assistance, product education, and after-sales support.
- Collaborate with key account managers on strategic sales and product development activities for new and existing customers.
- Achieve sales, product and margin goals acceptable to management expectations.
- Continually upgrade sales skills and product knowledge through experience and educational programs.
- Ability to learn procedures, processes and methods required to achieve organization standards.
- Timely submittals of required paperwork – monthly reports, open order status, quote status and follow-up, planning.
- Maintaining accurate customer, sales order, and quote information in ERP and CRM systems and customer portals.
Knowledge / Skills / Experience - Bachelor's Degree in business or engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
- Entry level candidates will be considered.
- Candidates with 2 or 4 year technical or sales degrees will be considered.
- 2+ years of experience in sales and product development, preferred.
- Related business experience in the semiconductor, military, aerospace, medical, and industrial markets preferred.
- Experience in CNC machining of plastic and metal parts a plus.
- Knowledge of high-performance plastic polymers, preferred.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage numerous projects and priorities at once
- Use of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), CRM and Epicor or other ERP system
