The Technical Field Service Supervisor plays a vital role in the technical support and development of Field Service Technicians and cultivating customer relations. The Supervisor provides hands-on training of Field Service Technicians, manages Field Service Measuring and Test Equipment, coordinates with others to facilitate and oversee field service activities, and performs field service work.

We provide a "one-stop shop", offering sales of test equipment & tools, plus calibration and repair services for most types of test equipment. Our Calibration Laboratory is ISO/IEC 17025 Accredited and specializes in supporting Biomedical and Clinical Engineering needs. Our Field Service Team travels around the country going into Biomedical departments in hospitals and medical facilities to verify and calibrate their biomedical and general-purpose test equipment.


Job Requirements (Supervisor):


  • Provide technical support and training to Field Service Technicians, including documentation.
  • Coordinate calibration standards, tools, equipment, kits, supplies, and vehicles.
  • Work closely with the Field Service Coordinator to quote, plan and schedule On-Site Calibration services for Field Service Technicians.
  • Promote Field Service work, including responding to customer requests, inquiries, and resolving any customer issues.
  • Provide Field Service production records and reports, including KPIs, schedules, work completed, etc.
  • Implement company Policies, Standard Operating Procedures, and Work Instructions, including maintaining regulatory quality compliance and safety and health requirements.

Job Requirements (Field Service Technician):


  • Fill the roll of a Field Service Calibration Technician for sites and support as needed (25 - 50% of time)
  • When in the field, position will require driving long distances, overnight and weekend stays.
  • Performing routine and complex work related to the calibration and repair of biomedical and general-purpose measuring and test equipment (M&TE), in the fields of electrical, electronic, DC-Low Frequency, RF, pressure, temperature, flow, force, mass, and other Metrology disciplines.
  • Effectively using computers, software, and automation systems as required in performance of assigned duties.
  • Enhancing quality through regulatory compliance and operating procedures, quality audits, work accuracy, documentation and cGDP practices.
  • Perform work in accordance with established processes and procedures.
  • Ensuring daily work is conducted in accordance with company policies concerning quality, ethics, integrity, and standards of business conduct.
  • Promoting safety of self, fellow employees, customers, and the environment.

Requirements:


  • U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident status required.
  • Associate's Degree or technical school, plus 7+ years related hands-on experience in calibration and repair of measuring and test equipment.
  • At least 3 years experience supervising a department or multiple employees
  • Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Office, Word, and Access, with an emphasis on Excel required.
  • Must have strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to function in and help build a successful team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must meet the requirements to drive a company vehicle (have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record).
  • Capable of lifting (50 pounds) unassisted.

Preferred:


  • Military PMEL/TMDE/DOD training.
  • CCT (Certified Calibration Technician) certification from ASQ.
  • Experience in calibration of the following:
  • General Purpose M&TE
  • Biomedical Test Equipment
  • Precision Temperature, Pressure, and Mass Flow devices.
  • Experience working in an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory.
  • Experience using Fluke MET/CAL Automated Calibration System.
  • Significant experience in Electrical, Temperature, Pressure and Flow calibrations.
  • Experience with scheduling technicians.
