JOB SUMMARY & PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS REPORTS TO: Executive Director – Early Learning Center DEPARTMENT NAME: Leadership and Learning JOB SUMMARY (2-3 sentences): Instructs students individually and in groups, using multiple teaching methods. Interacts with students to facilitate cognitive and social-emotional learning, including pre-academic skills in literacy and math, self-regulation and positive interactions with peers and adults. Observes, records and administers informal and formal assessments to detect progress or gaps in children’s healthy growth and development. Must have a current Tennessee Teaching certificate, or be in an eligible alternative licensure program. Must be certified in early childhood education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS : “ Experience Requirements” refers to the amount of work experience that is required for entry into the position that would result in reasonable expectation that the person can perform the tasks required by the position.
Prior teaching experience preferred.
