The daycare classroom child ratio is small and the daycare rooms are large with age appropriate learning materials and activities. Do you want to be home in the evenings, weekends and holidays, then look no futher-These positions are Monday through Friday with weekends and holidays off.Are you at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma/GED, a GA driver’s license, and at least one year of child care experience? Do you have or willing to obtain: a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential issued by Council for Professional Recognition; or/a Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) in Early Childhood Education, or a Child Development, Infant and Toddler, in Program Administration, School Age and Youth Care; or Technical College Diploma (TCD) in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or higher? Then this job may be for you. Teacher Responsibilities:1. Provide appropriate developmental and academic education to daycare aged children in a safe, secure, nurturing classroom environment.2. Prepare written instructional objectives by stating long-term goals for each student and document a projected schedule of activities.3. Manage and structure classroom/nursery according to Therapeutic Childcare, State, and center policy guidelines.4. Ensure the structure and discipline of the classroom at all times.5. Work with parents to promote learning, appropriate supervision, rules, and boundaries. By promoting positive reinforcement as a means of correcting problem behaviors.6. Engage families by providing parents information regarding the children’s activities and behaviors.
