Description:
Holy Cross School in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking a paraprofessional educator for its inclusive education program. A paraeducator’s primary role is to offer students extra support and guidance inside and outside the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Assist with instructional support: This includes working one-on-one with students and preparing classroom materials. Implement activities planned by the classroom teacher or inclusive education coordinator.
- Bridge communication between the classroom teacher and the student’s parents by providing a weekly progress report outlining assistance/modifications for specific classes and subject areas.
- Based on the child’s SEP (Student Education Plan) and teacher directives, implement modified curriculum activities to meet individual learning goals.
- Provide for students’ social and emotional needs through respite activities and “brain breaks.”
- Maintain records of all activities planned and completed.
- Provide daily records to the inclusive education coordinator.
- Attend and participate in professional learning activities as assigned.
- Complete other assigned tasks.

- Teaching, childcare, or teacher aid experience
- Patience, flexibility, positive attitude
