Under general direction of the Business Taxes Administrator I (BTA I), the Tax Technician III serves as an expert staff resource and performs the most difficult and complex tax technician duties. The Tax Technician III provides assistance to taxpayers to ensure compliance with tax laws and performs a variety of collection functions. The incumbent is responsible for basic compliance cases involving active, delinquent, closed and revoked sales and use tax cases up to $2,000.
