Tax Preparer Positions

TaxSquad is a boutique tax firm, located in Burlingame, providing personalized service to a wide variety of clients. We are currently looking for full time tax preparers. Candidates must have at least two years individual tax return preparation experience. EA is a plus!

This is a postition in our Burlingame, CA office, there is no remote work available.

Requirements

· Licensed tax preparer – EA is a plus.

· 2+ years of individual 1040 tax preparation experience.

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Adobe Acrobat.

· Comfortable with multiple monitors.

Essential Functions

· Review tax information submitted by clients.

· Possess knowledge of current tax regulations.

· Prepare personal tax returns with multi state and/or international issues.

· Work with confidential client matters; requires ability to keep matters confidential.

· Follow up to clients on crucial issues and tasks.

· Collaborate with team members to manage a caseload of clients.

· Very good communication skills -- with both team members and clients.

· Motivated to learn and develop beyond their existing skills & knowledge base.

· Passionate about helping clients achieve the best-case scenario tax-wise.

· Analytical thinker who can think outside the box.

· Accustomed to working under deadlines and time budgets.

· Follows in-office procedures for work.

· Experience with UltraTax Software.

· Experience with QuickBooks software and accounting principles.

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Tax Experience: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• CTEC (Preferred)
• Enrolled Agent (Preferred)
• PTIN (Preferred)
