The Talent Acquisition team supports recruiting and hiring efforts for all of Branch Operations, Central Operations and Corporate offices. The ideal candidate for the Talent Acquisition Specialist position will have strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with hiring manager and candidates, have a passion for recruiting and identifying great talent and have sound judgement, and strong insight into others. In this role you will partner with hiring managers to develop strategies to identify strong candidates and work closely with candidates to move them through the hiring process. Key responsibilities include utilizing our ATS, search tools and social media to identify and source quality candidates, phone screening, and managing the hiring process in a high volume, fast paced environment. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist you will play a significant role in ensuring that we are hiring the best and brightest talent for our dynamic, growing company. This position is located at our corporate headquarters office in Baton Rouge, LA and reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager. Job responsibilities are as follows:


  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their needs and determine the best strategies for identifying top candidates.
  • Create requisitions, post and manage jobs through our ATS (iCIMS) and external sites.
  • Review applicants to determine and update appropriate status using the applicant tracking system.
  • Conduct searches within ATS and other recruiting sites to source strong candidates. Conduct warm and cold calls as needed.
  • Conduct phone interviews with candidates and make recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Provide candidates with a first-class candidate experience from start to finish. Provide timely follow up and close communication with candidates throughout the process and ensure the hiring process is running smoothly.
  • Follow up with hiring managers on candidates that have been forwarded for consideration.
  • Train hiring managers on interviewing best practices, usage of the ATS, pre-employment assessment tool, and the hiring process.
  • Host regular calls with hiring managers to discuss position statuses and ongoing strategies.
  • Utilize ATS to create weekly and monthly reports.
  • Offer suggestions for process improvement and new ways to attract top candidates.
  • Meet monthly and annual goals for number of hires and ratios such as contacts to interview and interview to hire.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required with 1-3 years of experience recruiting in a corporate setting. Will consider new grads with a Bachelor's in Human Resources or other relevant degree.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop key relationships with hiring managers and company leaders as well as candidates.
  • Must have a passion for recruiting and identifying great talent, exhibit sound judgement, and have good insight into others.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work well independently as well as a dedicated team member
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Products
  • Experience or familiarity with iCIMS ATS is a plus
  • Must pass a credit check, criminal Background check and a drug screen
