Position Title: Lead Systems Analyst


General Summary: The Healthcare Applications Systems Analysts Lead for Quality Assurance is responsible for execution of test strategy, daily test and quality operations and process definition/improvement. Evaluates and tests new or modified software applications and software development/implementation procedures used to verify that programs are function according to requirements and conform to established guidelines. The Systems Analysts Lead for Quality Assurance writes, revises and verifies quality standards and test procedures for program design and product evaluation to attain quality of software economically and efficiently.


Essential Duties:

  • The person coordinates and leads projects from a testing perspective with minimal direction.
  • Coordinates and organizes all activities for the testing of software releases in anticipation or promotion to the production environment.
  • This position provides support to developers and the business unit in executing and coordinating test process and procedures.
  • This position will assist in developing Testing Strategy, Application and Integration Test: Planning, Execution & Defect Management
  • Following testing protocols to provide guidance in the area of coaching testing principles,
  • For assigned projects, attend any necessary meetings to gain an understanding of testing requirements
  • Coordinate and monitor all test activities through the software development lifecycle
  • Work with cross functional application teams to coordinate and execute Testing
  • Coordinate the creation of test plans and test scripts as needed
  • Monitor and coordinate the identification of defects, issues and concerns encountered during testing
  • Drive defect resolution during testing
  • Create and present testing status to all levels of management
  • Coordinate all activities and all testers during each testing phase of iterative releases
  • Ensure that any risks associated with an agreed testing strategy are clearly documented and described to interested parties
  • Actively identify new areas for learning and take advantage of those learning’s
  • Monitor and coordinate all risks associated with the testing and takes preventative action.
  • Takes responsibility for the production approval of all testing deliverables and achievement of testing milestones during a project
  • Proactively offer solutions and new and better ways to do things
  • Active assistance in the SILK automated testing project
  • Escalate to Team Lead and/or Manager as required
  • Responsible for meeting commitment and creating deliverables such as status reports, test plans, test metrics, etc

Standard Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience required.
  • At least 6 years of QA (Testing) experience within an IT development team
  • At least 3 years of QA leadership experience preferred
  • At least 2 years of testing automation script development and maintenance
  • At least 2 years of Agile methodology experience, preferred
  • Healthcare and or Epic testing experience is preferred

Other Qualifications:

  • Strong background in software quality, test automation frameworks and testing methodologies
  • Demonstrable background in process development and maintenance
  • Experience of software test automation including scripting, debugging, execution, and analysis
  • Experience with Microfocus Silk Test and Silk Central
  • Proficiency with SQL for data integrity and report writing, preferred
  • Proficiency with VB.net, preferred
  • Ability to utilize testing tools and develop custom tools as needed
  • Complex, analytical problem-solving and issue resolution skills
  • Experience with web-based applications, user interface and back-end processing
  • Ability to work independently, with multiple concurrent projects
  • Demonstrable ability to manage people and projects
  • Proven understanding of user business applications
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workflow, deliverables and deadlines for multiple projects
  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Project management skills, preferred
