JOB TITLE: System Engineer – Flight Guidance and Control Development

ABOUT THE JOB:
This position is responsible for model-based development of a new automatic flight control system.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer/Aerospace Engineering
• 10+ years aerospace systems engineering experience
• Development experience in the following:
  • Flight guidance
  • Auto throttle
  • Autopilot
• Control laws development experience
• System development process knowledge
• Software development process knowledge
• Textual System/software requirements development experience
• Model-based system/software development experience:
  • Experience developing specification models
  • Experience developing design models
• Change management process experience
• Certification Guidelines knowledge:
  • ARP-4754
  • DO-331
  • DO-178C
  • TSO C-198
  • DO-325 MOPS
• Experience with the following tools:
  • Matlab / Simulink
  • DOORS
• Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Self-motivated, accountable, detail-oriented

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• HAM tool knowledge
• Configuration management tools experience
• Change request management tools experience
