Position Purpose
Responsible for Level 3 support of Authority mission critical systems Microsoft, Cisco, HP, Dell, UNIX Microsoft Office applications, etc. as assigned). This includes support of Authority network and telephony devices (servers, routers, hubs, etc.) as well as supported software and applications. Responsible for coordinating and monitoring of projects dealing with fare collection, toll, and traffic management technologies. Includes all hardware and software.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain and support HP/Dell server hardware, Cisco network and telephony hardware, and camera systems including the Genetec application.
- Maintain and support Microsoft and/or Cisco software, and/or UNIX (HP-UX).
- Maintain and support Microsoft software including Active Directory, Group Policy, Office 365, SharePoint, and other Authority applications.
- Maintain and support Public Safety applications including CAD and CJIS.
- Provide expertise to IS management on the procurement of information systems hardware, operating software and related technical services.
- Assist in the planning, configuration and installation of some network and telephony devices (servers, routers, hubs, telephone sets, etc.).
- Assist in preparation and recommendation of an annual Transportation Technology Development plan as assigned and budget including staffing, computer resources, systems projects, consulting services, and related matters for an effective Toll and Traffic Management operation, as assigned.
- Assist Security and Business Continuity Specialist in their role to develop recovery and restart procedures, development and implementation of a disaster recovery plan and developing and implementing security procedures.
- Assist in developing and implementing security procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of long-range or Transportation Technology Development systems plans, based on the business needs of the DRPA as assigned.
- Perform hardware and operating system software analysis and related activities to ensure system operation.
- Assist in developing specifications for computer systems.
- Integrate and maintain hardware and network system to meet the needs for the DRPA.
- If assigned to perform UNIX work, periodically review performance of UNIX servers to ensure that they are in accordance with the original specifications.
- Assist in the development, implementation and support of all UNIX, Windows, Cisco, telephony and camera systems as assigned.
- Assist the Database Administrator in their support mission.
- Ability to effectively lead and/or participate in, plans, and coordinates the work efforts of a team consisting of technical Information Services, User, Vendor, and/or consulting personnel.
- Responsible for participating in association meetings such as ITS America, committee for a Smart New Jersey, I-95 Corridor Coalition, etc.
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining good relationships with appropriate outside organizations related to the functions of Fare collection, toll, and traffic management systems.
- The individual must be available to work rotation shifts as assigned.
- Represent Information Services at project meetings and manage project participation.
- Assists in maintaining a safe and secure work environment by participating in required training, recognizing and reporting hazards and suspicious activity, and using all required personal protective equipment.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Desired:
- Microsoft MCSE certification; Server, Exchange, SCCM experience
- Cisco CNA certification.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit (85%). The employee is required to stand and walk (10%) and lift, climb, bend (5%). Must be able to perform all position functions. Must be able to physically operate all job related equipment for the position functions. The employee must maintain a neat and clean appearance.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; OR a minimum of six (6) years of experience administering Active Directory, Office 365 (including Exchange), and SharePoint; or a minimum of six (6) of experience utilizing Microsoft, Cisco, or experience in Toll and/or Traffic Management Systems.
- Proficiency in relevant personal computer software such as word processing and spreadsheet applications, considerable knowledge of project analysis and the use of automated project management tools.
- Must have knowledge of the Authority’s computer systems and the relationship between the servers and network environment.
- Must have the ability to plan and recommend system requirements to maintain the integrity of all systems.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP and networking.
- Knowledge of Windows Server and SAP (ERP).
