Surveillance Training Supervisor, Southland Casino

The Opportunity Delaware North Gaming is hiring for a Surveillance Training Supervisor to join our team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. The Surveillance Training Supervisor assists management with the efficient operation of the Surveillance Training program, in accordance with the Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards and applicable Operational Standards. As a Surveillance Training Supervisor, you will ensure the safety of guests, associates, clients, and company assets at the property. Responsibilities - Supervises and trains all Surveillance associates assigned.
- Trains new and existing associates, under the direction of management. Uses knowledge of the
effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, hands on training of best practices and techniques,
and demonstrations.
- Assists Management with the effectiveness of training; providing recommendations for improvement.
- Assists with the development and organization of training manuals and other educational materials.
- Knowledge and ability to supervise Surveillance shifts if needed.
- Handles disciplinary matters and ensures quality employee performance.
- Enforces and adheres to all unit and company policies and procedures.
- Ensures quality, accuracy, and timely delivery of all training and testing.
- Assists associates with questions, testing, training schedules, or other duties as assigned.
- Conducts continuous training on all major operations of the property including but not limited to Table
Games, Slot operations, Cage operations, Food & Beverage operations, and Security operations.
- Verifies and ensures all Title 31 & ServeSafe standards are being met after the training process has
concluded.
- Follows up with trainees; promptly communicates any opportunities to management.
- Provide training on all systems and programs utilized within the Surveillance Department including but not
limited to CIP, Biometrica, eConnect, PitWatch, Oasis, Genetec, etc.
- Performs clerical duties such as research, typing, filing, scanning, and email.
- Ensures that all training equipment is set up properly, operating efficiently and accurately.
- Verifies all paperwork is complete and turned in at conclusion of shift/event.
- Ensures all training areas remain clean, safe and sufficiently stocked.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety standards throughout the assigned area: follows and upholds all health
codes and sanitation regulations.
- Completes daily training reports as requested by management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Ability to provide training on Advantage Player activity and card counting.
- Ability to provide training on Games Protection and cheating techniques/scams.
- Knowledgeable in the overall operation of a high-volume Casino Property.
- Possess basic knowledge of Racing/Sports book operation.
- Basic math skills; ability to accurately total payouts and train Surveillance team on shortcuts and techniques
to arrive to those payouts.
- Computer skills, ability to perform tasks utilizing Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills – ability to effectively communicate with trainees and
management.
- Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to direct the work activities of several associates
simultaneously and plan ahead.
- Highly motivated, ability to take initiative.
- Team-oriented; ability to work effectively with others.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required; college degree in Criminal Justice degree or related field, preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in Casino Surveillance, in a high-volume environment, required.
- One year supervisory experience in Casino operations or Casino Surveillance preferred. (Training positions
is preferred) - Experience and knowledge of all Table Games, any cash handling throughout the property, and Asset
Protection. - Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must be able to obtain an Arkansas Gaming & Racing License.
Physical Requirements - Ability to remain on feet for entire length of shift if required.
- Ability to present training material in a training environment.
- Ability to sit in a monitor room for long periods of time.
- Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to communicate with trainees.
