This position operates independently, under limited supervision, providing direction and guidance to assigned Respiratory Therapists, and depending on assigned unit, other non-nursing professionals. This is a working supervisor position. Individuals in this position possess specialized training and experience to perform independent, professional respiratory care, ventilator management, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and clinical evaluation of care, including the establishment of therapy and treatment objectives, and the review of care based on the age and needs of the patient.< Minimum Requirements: Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Five years acute care experience in the field of respiratory therapy and critical care required
Previous experience and demonstrated skills in a leadership or a supervisory role
Bachelors degree required
Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Therapy training program
Registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care
Licensed as Respiratory Care Practitioner with the State of Washington
Current CPR certification required and advanced life support credential required within 90 - 365 days of hire depending on specific position and course availability (NRP, PALS or ACLS)
