PSE's Load Serving Operations team is looking for qualified candidates to fill an open Supv Power Dispatch position! PSE’s 24x7 Transmission Operations and Balancing Authority control center, The Load Office, is looking for a Supervisor, Power Dispatch to join our team! This position will be directly supervising up to 10 represented real time Balancing Area and Transmission Operators. The work will be on- shift and or non standard hours including nights and weekends. This opening offers an opportunity to be directly involved in the day to day operation of PSE's Transmission System (Grid) and Generation to Load Balancing systems, including markets. Supervises power dispatch operations ensuring transmission system and generation resources function in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner. Works with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to facilitate and enhance the Load Office’s ability to support power system reliability, employee safety and compliance with FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission), NERC (North American Electric Reliability Corporation) and WECC (Western Electricity Coordinating Council) requirements. May work shift or non-standard hours depending on role being filled. The Load Office is a 24/7 real-time operation that monitors, operates, and controls PSE’s high voltage transmission system (55kV and above) and company-owned thermal and renewable generation assets. The Load Office operates as a NERC-registered Balancing Authority and Transmission Operator within the WECC region. Upholds the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE’s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promotes and supports a culture of total safety.
