POSITION SUMMARY :
Responsible for developing production/supply plans that take in to account forecasts, availability of material and manufacturing capacity. Critical proven activities should include OEE improvements, anticipation of cross functional business requirements, development of strategy for project execution, coordination of multi-echelon implementations, and full accountable for targeted business deliverables. In charge of production plan scheduling across multiple sites in a high complexity environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrated success improving OEE, capacity planning, scheduling and production planning.
Experienced as lead with operational shop floor management, enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools, quality management, and quality metric methodology, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
Proven track record of high-quality strategic decision making with multi factory global impact.
Implementation of successful continuous improvement through Lean Leadership (Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, and Gemba Walks).
Demonstrated success as technical expert in broad supply chain areas, supporting management, creative new solutions, and execution of wide breadth of initiatives.
Broad expertise in multiple supply chain disciplines.
Proven high level capability to concisely communicate complex and controversial issues.
Optimize cross functional resources to achieve complex and unique objectives within budget and timelines
Demonstrated project integration, planning, communication, and documentation skills to oversee and prepare project team resources requirements in collaboration with cross-functional departments.
Develop and facilitate proposals, to support organizing and conducting relevant, concise, data driven, professional presentations to leadership with recommendations.
Perform critical analysis of material requirements from Production and Engineering drawings and documents in released or pre-released status.
Drive cost savings and quality improvements.
Create the manufacturing forecast and load the planning database accordingly.
Develop rough-cut capacity plans to analyze and negotiate resource requirements.
Develop an executable master production schedule in accordance with shelf life and inventory guidelines.
Minimize inventory write-offs.
Proven experience leading Kaizen events including elements such as standard work, planning process, value-analysis, material flow, or Heijunka. Implementation and teaching lean practices.
Knowledge of good manufacturing practice for medical devices in FDA regulated environment desired.

TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
  • For people managers, ensure your associates attend and complete all required trainings satisfactorily and on time
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education or Experience (in years):
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related work experience OR
Master’s degree in field with 3+ years of related work experience OR
Doctoral degree in field with 0-2 years of related work experience

Knowledge and skills:
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Preferred SAP experience.
Thorough understanding of master production scheduling, capacity planning and forecasting principals.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to facilitate groups or meetings.
Experience with SOPs, GMP, ISO, JIT, MRP.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Physical requirements/abilities:
Ability to work in an office environment.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
APICS certification, CPIM preferred.
Medical device manufacturing experience.
SQL and Visio experience valued.
