Supply Chain Affiliate Manager

The System Affiliate Supply Chain Manager is responsible for providing direction, planning, implementation, and administration for the procurement of various supplies, equipment and services (including select pharmaceutical products), the receiving and distribution (R&D) of various supplies and equipment (including select pharmaceutical products) to support the operations of AMC affiliate Columbia Memorial Hospital and their offsite locations. The manager oversees the daily functions performed by the buyers and other procurement support staff to provide timely order-to-pay processes, open order follow-up, expediting, and capital buying process as well as receivers, inventory management and distribution and other logistical support staff to ensure availability, provide timely delivery and replenishment of products and equipment to support the end users and clinical areas. This position reports to the System Vice President (VP) of Supply Chain for Albany Med Health System.
Essential Duties (not limited to):
- Ensures the timely procurement, receiving and distribution of supplies, services and capital equipment.
- Ensures procurement and R& D information within Meditech is timely and accurate
- Seeks ways to make the department more efficient (e.g. EDI)
- Develops standard work for the procurement and logistics / inventory management function across the hospital and its outside locations
- Drives operational excellences and implements leading practices of the procurement and supply chain logistical workflow and processes within the hospital and its outside locations and in coordination with the AMC procurement and warehouse managers and System VP of Supply Chain.
- Demonstrates ability to analyze and resolve existing and potential problems
- Demonstrates ability to assess situations/problems and provide recommendations to leadership
- Collaborates with other functional leaders to ensure accurate data, invoice resolution and three-way match
- Works closely with Finance and Receiving to manage RNI and INR
- Provides for orientation, in-service training, and continuing education and leadership for the team
- Coaches employees as a means of training and development by communicating performance expectations, providing regular feedback, and completing performance appraisals by the due date
- Maintains effective supplier relationships in coordination with strategic System initiatives
- Ensures compliance with all Federal and State healthcare regulations, TJC standards, local/system/HPG contracts and local/system Policies and Procedures.
- Budgetary responsibilities to the department.
- Travel to any of the Albany Med Health System location as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Economics or related field
- Minimum six years of working in a hospital supply chain department
- Minimum three years in a leadership role within Supply Chain or procurement
- Minimum three years of working with Meditech
- Understanding of the source to pay process and the impact within the supply chain cycle
- Critical thinking and active problem-solving skills
- CMRP preferred but not required
